Commercial Induction Rebate

To support the state’s and City’s ambitious climate goals, East Bay Community Energy (EBCE) is offering rebates of up to $17,500 to its customers who upgrade to an electric kitchen. Available on a first-come, first-served basis, the rebates cover induction and electrical materials and equipment. See the Rebate Fact Sheet and apply at https://ebce.org/commercial-kitchens/.

What is induction cooking?

Induction cooktops heat the pan instantly and deliver twice the thermal efficiency of gas cooktops. They also eliminate the carbon monoxide and other toxins emitted by gas stoves. Learn more about how induction cooking works at ebce.org/induction.

Rebate program overview and eligibility

Rebates are available on a first-come first-serve basis until funds are exhausted. In order to receive a rebate upon project completion, applicants must reserve funds in advance. Funding is available for both new construction1 and retrofit projects for customers enrolled in EBCE service. Applicants are able to apply to install multiple induction units with maximum rebates for total project costs outlined below. Exceptions to eligibility will be made on a case-by-case basis pending funding availability.
