Online Marketing & Social Media Workshop

Oakland Metro Chamber of Commerce, 1333 Broadway, Suite P100
Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test is required for entry. Masks are required for all non-vaccinated attendees and recommended for all.

This hands-on workshop for beginning and intermediate users of online marketing and social media targets small businesses looking to grow their online and social media presence. Workshop attendees will learn how to maximize the use of free online tools, understand general best practices for social media, and put their learning into practice by creating and scheduling social media content during this workshop. Led by the Chamber's Director of Small Business and Workforce, this workshop will also feature Oakland small businesses that have utilized online marketing tools and social media to grow their audience and their revenue. In this critical time of recovery from the global pandemic, online marketing and social media strategy is critical for small business survival. Businesses will learn how to cultivate brand loyalty from current customers, increase visibility to potential customers, and market their business - whether that business is real estate, a café or retail, and how you can do it yourself on a tight budget! Attendees should bring their own computer (preferred if possible) or smartphone. A limited number of desktop computers may be available for those without access to a computer or smartphone.
