Basic Procurement Course Overview Description This course is for Alameda County staff who are new to procurement. Staff will receive an overview of Alameda County procurement policies, procedures and process. This is a four hour class is designed for staff with limited procurement experience. Objectives • Describe ethics in relationship to the responsibilities of County staff • Describe the roles and responsibilities of the Client Department, Procurement Department, and the Board of Supervisors • Explain the Procurement Policy & Procedures • Learn the steps of the procurement process • Understand SLEB Subcontracting • Access the available tools and resources used in the procurement process • Understand Procurement Card Policy & Procedures
