Attached are some pics from yesterday. Allendale Elementary's 5th grade class took to MacArthur Blvd to decorate store windows. Thanks to Lease Wong from Komodo Toys for organizing this every year, to the Laurel Security Ambassadors for chaperoning and setup, and special thanks to Ms. Buenavista's 5th grade class from Allendale Elementary for all their beautiful artwork. Incoming and New Businesses
We are excited about the recent activity and brewing interest in business startups and renovations in the Laurel! We of course have a way to go, but with great thanks to the collective efforts of the LVA and neighborhood groups, NCPCs, merchants, and supporters, new fruit is starting to bear! Among the new businesses and upgrades that have taken place (* indicates a remodeled interior):
14TH ANNUAL LAUREL STREET FAIR 2013 - Saturday, August 10, 2013
We wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported and came out to celebrate a wonderful day with us! Attendance was estimated at 10,000+ people! Considering this is a neighborhood-run fair that relies on no major advertising, this is an incredible feat, and a tribute to the neighborhood and the merchants!
